Code Camp Vegas selects Jay Harris to Keynote

LAS VEGAS, Nevada—Code Camp Vegas has announced that Arana Software founder Jay Harris will present the opening keynote for their upcoming conference in October 2018. Jay's keynote, titled "Celebrate Your Expert," will focus on topics surrounding self-worth and self-doubt, and how professionals in any industry struggle to celebrate their expertise when surrounded by other industry professionals.

"As citizens of the world, many of us watched the 2018 Olympic Winter Games in PyeongChang," said Jay Harris. "We celebrated the accomplishments of every Olympian, regardless of if they were awarded a medal. However, we can certainly understand Olympians doubting their own skill based on their success against other Olympians, despite achieving the greatest athletic stage in the history of the world. This self-doubt—this imposter syndrome—isn't unique to Olympians; it affects software developers, graphic designers, and all of humanity."

Code Camp Vegas will be held on Saturday, October 20, 2018, at Work In Progress in downtown Las Vegas, Nevada. The one-day conference will host two parallel sessions throughout the day focusing on exciting topics in software development. The schedule boasts thirteen speakers from Las Vegas and throughout the United States, including Jay, a Las Vegas local.

The event is designed for collaboration, networking, and learning to strengthen the Las Vegas software development community. Tickets are available on Eventbrite for $25.00. A 20% discount is available during purchase with the discount code VegasTech.
