Entering into its seventh year, the annual Code PaLOUsa conference is designed to educate software development professionals on current and emerging technologies at an affordable cost. The event, which has been chaired by Chad Green since its 2011 inception, is run as a non-profit organized and staffed entirely by volunteers. In recent years, it has welcomed as many as 750 attendees to the Louisville metropolitan area.

"I am very excited about the opportunity to keynote at Code PaLOUsa this year," said Harris. "I have known Chad and his team of organizers for a long time, having presented sessions for the event nearly every year since it started. Louisville is a great city and Code PaLOUsa is an incredible conference."

While the specific details of the talk remain to be finalized, Jay plans to cover themes of collaboration, empathy, and teamwork in the workplace. "Too often," he says, "teams focus on speed over quality. Mistakes are punished and the offenders are ostracized. The end result is rarely good." Jay preaches a professional culture of support, encouragement, and growth. The initial investment in all members of the team and in fostering the proper environment, he advises, will almost always pay dividends down the road.

Code PaLOUsa 2017 will take place June 7–9, 2017, at the Ramada Plaza Louisville Hotel and Conference Center. Tickets will go on sale on at 10:00am EST on January 30. You can learn more about the event and keep up with current news at www.codepalousa.com and by following Code PaLOUsa on Twitter.
